When TikTok launched in September of 2018, the platform was immediately popular. In about a year, TikTok had more than 500 million monthly active users and it’s been growing fast since then.

It has some major differences from other social media apps like Instagram or Facebook. While you can post photos to TikTok, its primary focus is video content. You can also create 15-second videos to upload to the platform, but you might want to try making some longer videos. TikTok has a feature which allows creators to import videos from other sources including Facebook and Instagram, allowing them to make long form video content on the TikTok platform.

How to Share Tiktok to Facebook Story?

On the TikTok app, go to your profile by tapping on your Profile picture in the top left corner. On your profile you can see a series of videos under “My Feed.” Swipe down for more options and tap “Edit Videos” at the bottom of this list.

A new menu pops up with an option to import video content from other apps. Tap the “+” symbol next to this option, and then “Choose from Library.” A list of your other social media accounts will pop up, including Facebook and Instagram. Find a video you want to import into TikTok and tap OK.

The video will appear in a preview thumbnail on the left hand side of your screen. Resize and reposition it as needed with your fingers. You can re-crop and rotate the video if necessary by tapping “Edit” underneath the preview thumbnail. When you’re ready to post, tap the blue check mark in the bottom right corner of your screen.

The imported video will be posted to your timeline just like any other Facebook post. In the future, you can access it just like any other Facebook video in your timeline. You can even add a caption and change privacy settings if necessary.

This feature is particularly helpful because TikTok only allows users to upload 15 second videos, but importing from other sources lets you make long form content for this app. Tapping on a video in your library will give you the option to download the video, but you can’t edit it.

At present, Facebook is not yet able to import videos directly into TikTok like this. But with some creativity and patience, it’s definitely possible.

As of now, TikTok has no option for importing your videos from other sources; however, it is possible to do so.
