Final Fantasy XIV: 5 Exceptional Side Quests

This game has some wonderful quests! While some side quests may be unoriginal and quickly forgotten, others may stay with you forever. The game’s missions may prepare you for dungeons and raids, or they may serve just to provide you with unforgettable experiences. The fact is that FFXIV’s side missions differ from those in other MMOs like World of Warcraft. They add to the story of the universe of Final Fantasy XIV, unlock battles, and provide daily or weekly challenges.

So before we dive into our most beloved side quests in Final Fantasy XIV, we wanted to remind you that there are some companies that offer top-priced FFXIV gil that will enhance your whole gaming experience, especially with quests. Now, let’s begin!

Protectors of the Wood

Protectors of the Wood is a fantastic side-quest that was introduced with the advent of Shadowbringers and awards players with the Great Serpent of Ronka minion. Fans have made this tiny fellow so popular that he now has many minion variations and a cool mount! Just adhere to the guidelines listed below to get the original, however.

To begin the quest, speak with Phyna in The Rak’tika Greatwood. Before leaving to get three old stone tablets, you’ll be instructed to go about and talk to several NPCs. Your map will direct you to the necessary places, where you must then talk with Quinfort before giving Lanille the tablets to get your new minion.

You must have completed the “In Good Faith” main scenario quest before being able to access this quest. Two required side quest chains, starting with “Stand on Ceremony” from Lanille in The Rak’tika Greatwood and “The Great Deceiver” from Valan in The Rak’tika Greatwood, must also have been finished.

Disciples of Creation

The Namazu Bell item, a well-liked glamor item, which transforms characters Miqo’te and Hrothgar into pet cats, is a prize from the “Disciples of Creation” quest. Gyoshin, who is located in The Azim Steppe, issues the mission.

You must advance through the Namazu Beast Tribe Missions, which start with “Something Fishy This Way Comes” from the Floundering Namazu in The Azim Steppe, until “Disciples of Creation” is provided to you. This quest is really one of the Beastmen’s quests. Along with the Namazu Bell prize, the last task in the chain will raise your status with the tribe to Bloodsworn.

You must have finished the “In Crimson They Walked” main scenario quest as well as two other quest chains starting with “Courage the Cowardly Lupin” from Fukudo in Yanxia and “Perchance to Hanami” from Ochimi in Yanxia before you can start the Namazu Beastmen missions.

Like Cats and Dogs

Although the “Like Cats and Dogs” quest doesn’t truly provide the prizes, it does open up two more tasks that each provide a fantastic minion. To start “Like Cats and Dogs,” talk to Skribyld in Western La Noscea. To finish it, speak to other NPCs.

Following that, Skribyld will provide the missions “Man’s Best Friend” and “Curiosity Killed the Coeurl.” You may easily finish the first quest, which rewards you with the Coeurl Kitten minion, by searching Skull Valley for a newborn coeurl and then reporting to Skribyld. The second will give you the Wolf Pup minion, and all you have to do to finish the quest is give the pup a bone and calm it down before speaking to Skribyld.

Arkasodara Daily Quests

Combining and finishing two distinct quest chains also leads to accessing the Arkasodara daily quests. Steppe Child from Ogul and What’s in a Parent from Yezhin are both in Thavnair’s tropical region, albeit the latter is concealed until the player has completed the Endwalker Vanaspati dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV at least once. Hippos Born to Run is available from Kancana and the Arkasodara tribe after completing both chains in full.

Daily quests in Arkasodara are a great way to level up additional occupations from 80 to the maximum level limit of 90. The missions provide around a million experience points and sync to the current level. Although this may not seem like much in Final Fantasy XIV, each daily task can usually be finished in a few minutes, leading to greater benefits over the course of many days.

Hildibrand Questline

The Manderville Dance emote, Wind-up Gentlemen minion, Manderville Coatee and Bottoms gear, Most Gentlemanly emote, Gigi minion, and Manderville Mambo emote are just a few of the great prizes you may obtain from the Hildibrand Quest chain, which is perhaps the finest in the game. This chain is doubly worthwhile to finish since the tale is funny.

The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen” is the first quest in this chain, and it is provided by Wymond in Ul’dah on the Steps of Nald. To start this quest, players must have already finished the main scenario quest, “The Ultimate Weapon.” The Hildibrand questline has already been twice expanded by Square Enix, and there are already three quest arcs (including the original), so it’s feasible that more may be added in the future.

These are our favorite side quests to tackle in all of Final Fantasy XIV. Of course, there are thousands of quests to take your pick, so make sure to continue playing this fantastic game and make the most out of it. If your favorite side quests are not mentioned here, be sure to leave them in the comments.
